Transformation: Challenges & Possibilities

Yayasan AMIR (YA) and LeapEd had successfully organised Virtual Roundtable Sessions with the theme “Transformation: Challenges & Possibilities” in April and May with various topics focusing on the Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs), Teachers, Parents & Community and Students.

Our inaugural session on 21 April 2021 featured our SLTs from Trust Schools with the topic ‘SLTs - Leaders of Transformation’, where they shared on how they led the transformation in their schools:

  1. Puan Shamsinar Hayati Binti Mohd Shith (SK Lembah Subang)
  2. Puan Yatimah Binti Salleh (SK Kampong Layau)
  3. Puan Sabariah Binti Ibrahim (SMK Kijal)

The second session was on 28 April 2021 by teachers, with the topic 'Teachers - Trust Schools Programme in the New Norm', sharing their experiences of being a teacher in a Trust School:

  1. Cikgu Shoba Devi Balakrishnan (SMK Pasir Gudang 3, Johor)
  2. Cikgu Mariah Othman (SMK Tanjong Lumpur, Pahang)
  3. Ustazah Nurfazhillah Sabit (SK Kimanis, Sabah)

The third session in this series was on 5 May 2021 by parents, with the topic 'Parents: Home and School Shape our Children':

  1. Dr Suzana Suhailawaty Md Sidek (SK Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah, KL)
  2. Puan Nor Aida Binti Saad (SK Seberang Ramai, Perlis)
  3. Encik Zulkifli Ayob (SMK Seri Samudera, Perak)
  4. Puan Rafidah Binti Siri (SMK Lundu, Sarawak)

These parents were excited to share how their children gained so much knowledge in being part of a programme that ensured their holistic development.

Last but not least, the final session in this series was on 2 June 2021 by students from our Trust Schools, with the topic 'Students: This is Me':

We were blown away by their confidence in sharing their experiences and thoughts on what schools mean to them.
