Training with Seven Skies International School

On the first working day of 2020, the inaugural training session of the newly-published LeapEd Core Series was held. Seven Skies International School took advantage of this interactive program and delved deeper into the world of writing Learning Objectives and Success Criteria, and developing strategies which empower students to be more independent learners in a “Thinking Classroom”.

Making it Work!

With almost the entire teaching staff of the school in attendance, the energy in the room was high, and sharing, listening, and learning, were able to occur, unhindered, in a supportive and positive environment. Encouraging participants to bring and use their own syllabus and curriculum documents as a basis for the session also created a more authentic focus with teachers displaying greater personal investment, participation, and interest, from start to finish.

A United Front

As well as helping the school, this was a way to trial the Core Series units of work, and to assess the effectiveness of the activities and support materials. With Umihannie binti Tukimin helming the session, ably supported by Bow Martin and the LeapEd team, the LeapEd Core Series proved to be a winning formula as it provided opportunities for ongoing professional discussions, and exploration of 21st century learning skills and strategies, which could be implemented immediately in classrooms.

This was a successful day for the participants, and the LeapEd Core Series and LeapEd as an organisation, with the promise of more to come

Ending on a High!

This was a successful day for the participants, and the LeapEd Core Series and LeapEd as an organisation, with the promise of more to com.

As declared by Seven Skies Principal, Mr Ala Maali, “Thank you for the training course at your centre. It was very useful and well-structured; all of our teachers were very engaged in the session. I hope to arrange for more training sessions for our team.”

As a team, we couldn’t ask for a more uplifting end to the training session than that.
