Salina

Salina has over 30 years of experience in education and three degrees from the University of Hull, the Maktab Perguruan Persekutuan Pulau Pinang, and the International Islamic University Malaysia. Salina worked in Malaysian schools for 14 years, specialising in Maths and Physics. She then went on to roles within the Ministry, designing and delivering training for school senior leaders.

Salina joined LeapEd in 2014, first working directly with teachers and leaders as an advisor on the flagship Trust Schools Programme and then latterly on the District Transformation Programme, developing the capacity building programme for District and State officials. Salina’s experience working within and alongside the education system has led to an in-depth understanding of what is needed for holistic school and system transformation here in Malaysia.

Salina deeply believes in lifelong learning and that learning happens anywhere and everywhere not just from books. She brings this to her training tapping on both her own experience and tacit knowledge and that of participants.
