Hemalatha B is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), credentialled by the world-renowned coaching organisation, the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) with affiliations the Malaysian Teacher Foundation, ICF Global, ICF Malaysia and Malaysian Association of Coaches (MACC). Currently, she is the Executive Secretary of MACC. Hema is also an Executive Trainer & Coach and an Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
Hema is a retired Educator (Jusa C), who began her career as a civil servant in the Ministry of Education (MOE), Malaysia. She has served as a teacher, teacher trainer, Chief Examiner and Master Trainer for 40 years. She was also the pioneer Executive Trainer and Coach sent by MOE to Manchester University for certification. She has won several Excellent Service awards throughout her career in MOE.
In her tenure in the education sector, she has presented and published papers and delivered keynote addresses internationally on Team teaching, Lesson Study, Assessment for Learning, Action Research, Emotional Intelligence and ESL intervention strategies. She has also written and published academic workbooks for secondary students. Hema is skilled in areas of Train the Trainer, Mentoring, Coaching, Systemic Programme Planning, School Improvement Initiatives, Student-Teacher Support and community upskilling.
